Our mission is to encourage students to play, lean, and engage in all things chess related, including rated tournaments and volunteer chess events. We believe that chess can be a valuable addition to a well-rounded education, and can have numerous benefits for students of all ages. One of our primary goals is to initiate chess clubs at different schools and provide the necessary chess materials to make the game more accessible to students. We believe that creating a sense of community school spirit and promoting teamwork among chess club members can greatly enhance the learning experience. In addition to providing chess materials and initiating chess clubs we also strive to create and support new leaders to teach chess at different schools. We believe that by empowering high schoolers to teach chess, we can expand the reach of the initiative and ensure that it continues to thrive in the many years to come.

One of the ways we fulfill our purpose is by recruiting high school students to coach and mentor younger students in chess at their schools. This program offers high schoolers a unique opportunity to develop their leadership and communication skills while at the same time promoting the benefits of chess to younger students. High school coaches work with their mentees to develop critical thinking skills, strategic planning and problem-solving abilities through the game of chess.

We introduce students to opportunities to participate in United States Chess Federation (USCF) rated tournaments. We believe that participating in these tournaments can help students hone their skills and develop a deeper understanding of the game. To ensure that students are well-prepared for these events, we provide them with the necessary training and support to learn the proper tournament rules and the rules of chess. Our coaches work with students to help them develop their strategies, build their confidence, and hone their critical thinking skills. We believe that through these efforts, we can help students develop a lifelong love for the game and a deeper appreciation for the benefits of chess education.
